Jeffrey Taylor, an evening wear and couture designer has been compelled by exquisite clothing since a young age. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Jeffrey was always fascinated by the classic chic silhouettes of the times before him. As a young boy he was intrigued by beauty of Couture designers, and dreamed of one day designing such masterpieces himself.
By diligence and a lifelong love for the study of fashion, Taylor graduated in the top of his class from Savannah College of Art & Design, and received a B.F.A in Fashion Design in Spring 2016. During his time at SCAD he was able to exploit his vision as a designer, improve his technical craft, and invest in his study of fashion and cultural.
During his senior year Jeffrey’s creativity and innovative explorations made him stand out as "One to watch" competing with the top 30 finalist in the SCAD 2016 Fashion Show, where his collection was presented as the grand finale.
During Taylor’s previous work he had the opportunity to study abroad in Hong Kong. in addition to that he had the honor of working under Naeem Khan for two summers. It was there that he actually began to apply all the design techniques that he learned throughout his education and saw how they were used in the industry. Conducting an internship with Naeem Khan, one of the best evening wear designers of our time, exposed and honed Jeffrey’s leadership qualities. Not only was he exposed to different real-world situations, Taylor made reality come to life.
Today, Jeffrey Taylor as been awarded Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year by the International Design Award (IDA) Association (2017), as well as receiving the IDA 2016, Gold – Haute Couture/Women Award(2017). Taylor is SUPIMA®’s 9th Annual Design Competition Winner 2016. He debut his Spring/Summer 2017 capsule collection during the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week as well as Paris Fashion Week. Being featured in Atlanta Journal Constitution, Essence Magazine, Teen Vogue, and Women's Wear Daily, Jeffrey Taylor is a designer entering in the industry more motivated than ever to continue designing what he hopes to be captivating and breathtaking designs.
